After a long and tiring day, I was too weary to go out in search of food, so I decided to dine at Tapestry Restaurant inside Classic Kameo Ayutthaya.
The menu offers a rich variety of classic Chinese dishes with a local touch, providing a dining experience that doesn’t cut corners. I ordered a few popular dishes, and they immediately lifted my spirits.
The fried rice with Chinese sausage was simple yet satisfying, with each grain perfectly separated. The sausage was savory without being too greasy, and the addition of egg and green onions made it even more delightful.
The deep-fried taro rolls were crispy but not greasy, with smooth and soft taro filling that carried a subtle sweetness with every bite.
The coconut milk chicken soup was an unexpected delight, with a rich and slightly sweet broth. The coconut and chicken flavors melded together beautifully, melting away the day’s fatigue with each spoonful.
The century egg shrimp dumplings offered an interesting twist, with the dumpling skin tender and the filling full, complemented by the distinct flavor of century egg that made me go back for more.
The pork rice noodle rolls were simple but tasty, especially when served hot.
The butter-baked sea bass had a perfectly crisp outer layer and tender flesh, enhanced by the rich, fragrant butter sauce.
Lastly, the crispy pork stir-fried vegetables were a great combination of crunchy pork skin and fresh vegetables, each bite carrying the essence of both.
By the end of the meal, I felt not only physically refreshed but also deeply comforted by the restaurant’s care and attention to detail in their dishes. Tapestry Restaurant truly stands out as a gem within the hotel, making it a cozy and flavorful choice when you’re too tired to venture outside.
