SOTETSU GRAND FRESA BANGKOK was the hotel I ended up with due to an Agoda system error, and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it.
Originally, I had booked a different hotel room. The app showed my reservation as confirmed, and I even received a confirmation email. But upon arrival, I discovered that the booking had not gone through—it had been rejected long ago. After some back-and-forth with Agoda’s customer service, they rebooked me into Sotetsu Grand Fresa Bangkok. To my surprise, it turned out to be a place I absolutely loved.
Its location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit stations. Perfect for someone like me who enjoys shopping but also loves being able to quickly retreat to a quiet, restful space. Nearby, you’ll find plenty of great restaurants, bars, and shopping spots, including the bustling Terminal 21 Shopping Mall—ideal for grabbing a bite or hunting for souvenirs.
The hotel itself is minimalist yet cozy. The room’s soft-toned decor and comfortable furniture instantly make you feel at ease.
The bed was the perfect firmness for me, though I did need to adjust to the pillow height. Modern amenities like high-speed internet and a flat-screen TV are, of course, standard.
The bathroom was spacious and spotless, with thoughtful daily housekeeping that made it feel like coming home to my little haven in Bangkok.
Even the Minibar and bedside table had a chic, elegant design.
In the morning, I appreciated the fully equipped fitness center and the free self-serve coffee bar in the lobby—grabbing a cup before heading out was a lovely touch.
The breakfast buffet leans towards Japanese cuisine, offering a simple yet refined selection that showcases the meticulous care typical of Japanese service.
The breakfast selection isn’t extensive, but everything tastes genuinely comforting.
I helped myself to a bowl of miso soup and some tomato juice. Both of which added to the satisfying start to my day.
Sotetsu Grand Fresa Bangkok turned out to be a delightful surprise—a place that feels not just convenient and comfortable, but also warm and welcoming.
