Tsunami Sushi Buffet Pattaya (Chaiyapruek) is a cozy little spot with a surprisingly delightful Japanese cuisine buffet.
t’s been a while since my wife and I had some alone time together, so we decided to visit this Japanese buffet known for its good food. The ambiance was clean and pleasant, and of course, they had a wide selection of dishes, including some delicious scallops.
The last time we were here, we brought our kids along, and we couldn’t help but hear the constant reminders to sit properly and eat quietly amidst their playful chatter. Having a peaceful meal with your partner, just quietly enjoying each other’s company, becomes a bit of a luxury when you have kids. They’re still young, and amidst the occasional squabbles and adorable questions, someone always needs to be there to manage, mediate, and discuss.
After our previous experience of being fined at Tsunami, we were extra careful this time, carefully reviewing the menu to avoid any surprises. Here’s what we ordered:
We started with some appetizers (cold dishes)
Followed by sashimi, scallops, and sushi rice bowls
Then there were some grilled and fried items. The quality of the ingredients at Tsunami Sushi Buffet was good, and the cooking methods were decent, nothing too extraordinary, but satisfying nonetheless. After all, it’s all about good ingredients and simple cooking methods. The overall service and cleanliness were up to satisfactory standards.
In addition to the fried oysters, we enjoyed some piping hot ones too. There were also fried salmon belly, salt-grilled scallops, and various other delights like fried fish skin, fried silverfish, fried burdock strips, squid rings, and grilled eel.
Deep-fried burdock strips
And let’s not forget the rich variety of sushi rolls and side dishes, including grilled eel, salt-grilled mackerel, sushi rolls with fish edge, stir-fried squid legs, and snapper sushi rolls.
As I looked at my partner, noticing a few strands of gray hair amidst her still beautiful face, my heart couldn’t help but ache a little. I hope we can peacefully walk through the next decade together.
