The design of Hotel Muse Bangkok draws inspiration from the European Art Deco movement of the 1920s, blended with traditional Thai elements to create an atmosphere rich in vintage glamour. From the moment you step into the lobby, it feels almost as though you have travelled back to an era of elegant arrivals — hats on, suitcase in hand, making an entrance with effortless style.
Dark wood is paired with brass detailing, while gold-framed paintings and vintage chandeliers decorate the walls and ceiling. Even the patterns chosen for the carpets and sofas feel carefully considered. The ground-floor lobby resembles the private sitting room of an understated aristocratic residence — free from the cold minimalism of many modern hotels, and instead filled with an elegance and stillness that seems beautifully preserved by time.
Staying here feels like more than simply checking into a hotel. It is almost like stepping inside a beautifully stylized film, where every corner deserves a little time to be appreciated.
Hotel Muse Bangkok Rooms｜Just the Right Amount of Drama
This time I stayed in a Grand Deluxe Room. The moment I opened the door, there was an unexpected feeling of returning to somewhere familiar. Deep coffee-toned wood sets the mood, complemented by a leather headboard and brass lighting. The room is not particularly large, yet the layering of materials and details gives it plenty of character and depth.
My favorite part has to be the bathroom, especially the freestanding antique-bronze bathtub. Surrounded by black-and-white marble patterns, the space carries the refined atmosphere of a traditional British gentlemen’s club. There is also a separate walk-in shower, double basins, and L’Occitane bath amenities — all the little details feel properly thought through.
The bed is on the firmer side, paired with a soft duvet and pillows that gave me a genuinely good night’s sleep. The entire room remains wonderfully quiet, while the window looks out over the calmer side of Langsuan. For a moment, it is easy to forget that you are actually right in the middle of Bangkok.
Hotel Muse Bangkok Dining｜Food and Atmosphere Worth Remembering
For dinner, you can head down to Medici Kitchen & Bar in the basement. The moment you walk in, it feels like entering an old European wine cellar. Brick walls and warm lighting create an atmosphere that immediately slows everything down. The menu focuses on Italian cuisine, from pasta to slow-braised lamb shank, with each dish offering plenty of detail and depth. Singers also move gracefully between the tables performing selections from opera — elegant, atmospheric, and never overly theatrical.
The breakfast room is beautiful enough to make you pause for a moment — the kind of place where you naturally find yourself slowing down and quietly admiring the surroundings.
Breakfast here even includes Tom Yum noodles made to order, while classics such as omelets and fried eggs are naturally available as well.
Langsuan is one of my favorite areas in Bangkok. It does not have quite the same noise and intensity as Siam or Silom, yet shopping malls, restaurants, and parks are all within walking distance. It is one of those rare parts of central Bangkok that manages to feel both sophisticated and quietly luxurious.
