Right across from SOMTAMนัว, Sushiro was having a promotion on chūtoro (medium-fatty tuna) for just 40 THB per piece, and the line was stretching out the door. Seeing that SOMTAMนัว wasn’t too crowded and had reasonable prices (85 THB for a plate of papaya salad, which is quite affordable for the mall), I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, it was really good.
The restaurant looks simple and clean inside.
The menu prominently features the word นัว, and they’re running a promotion: spend 700 THB and get one of four dishes for free.
Papaya salad is a must-order to test a new place’s cleanliness.
They also have ไส้อั่ว (northern Thai sausage) and ต้มแซ่บ (spicy pork rib soup). I ended up ordering a bunch more…
After ordering all that, they brought us a free grilled chicken…
The food tasted really good, the dishes were clean, and service was quick, especially before 6 PM.
