Although the room I had originally booked was shown as confirmed in the app, and I had also received a confirmation email, I arrived at the hotel only to discover that there was no reservation. The hotel eventually confirmed that the booking had actually been rejected much earlier. After negotiating with Agoda’s customer service for a while, they transferred me to this hotel, which I unexpectedly ended up liking very much.
The color palette of Sotetsu Grand Fresa Bangkok creates a particularly comforting and reassuring atmosphere. It is very close to both BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit stations, only a few minutes away on foot, making it perfect for someone like me who wants to go shopping while still being able to return to the hotel easily whenever I need to rest. There are many popular restaurants, bars, and shopping malls nearby, including the lively Terminal 21 shopping center. Whether you want to enjoy good food or buy souvenirs, you can simply step outside and take a walk at any time.
The hotel has a simple yet warm style. The rooms combine soft colors with comfortable furniture, creating a relaxing feeling as soon as you enter.
The firmness of the bed in the room suits me very well. The downside is that the pillow height is different from what I use at home. High-speed internet and a flat-screen television, meanwhile, have already become standard features everywhere.
The bathroom is spacious and clean, and the room is thoughtfully tidied every day. Whenever you return, you are welcomed by a clean and cozy space. Whether you are visiting for a short trip or staying for a longer period, it feels like having your own little home in Bangkok.
The design of the bedside table and minibar is also very distinctive and elegant.
SOTETSU GRAND FRESA BANGKOK also offers a full range of facilities. You can work out at the gym in the morning, while the free self-service coffee bar in the lobby provides hot drinks throughout the day. Simply pick up a cup and begin your day’s itinerary.
The breakfast buffet is mainly Japanese-style, and every bite reflects the refined attention to service for which the Japanese are known.
The breakfast selection at SOTETSU GRAND FRESA BANGKOK is not extensive, but the food is genuinely comforting and enjoyable.
I prepared a bowl of miso soup for myself, along with some tomato juice, which I quite like.
