“Yu Yue Lou,” the pinnacle of Cantonese cuisine in Taichung.

Thanks to James, Tom, and Tom’s older brother John, I had the chance to try Yu Yue Lou, this Michelin-recognized Cantonese restaurant.

The reception desk uses a whole rough block of White MAMARA marble cut in half, giving it a luxurious feel.

Enough talk, let’s get to the feast.

The beer and hot tea were barely touched
The char siu was roasted just right
This beef dish was also very tender
The whole roast duck made quite an impression
Mouthwatering chicken, delicious
Australian king prawns
Crispy pork dipped in yellow mustard
By the time the final soup arrived, I was already full to the brim
Top-notch roast duck

Said to be Taichung’s most expensive Cantonese restaurant, it certainly delivers on the quality of its cooking. The staff carefully explained how to enjoy each dish, helping ensure that the chef’s creations were enjoyed as intended.
