Centara Ayutthaya was my home base for this business trip to Ayutthaya, and it provided the perfect mix of comfort and relaxation.
Ayutthaya, as you might know, is a city steeped in rich history and culture. Founded in 1350, it was once the capital of the Siam Kingdom and a vibrant center of commerce in Southeast Asia. The city still holds echoes of its diverse influences, from Chinese and Indian to European and Arab, making it a true cultural melting pot.
As for the room at Centara Ayutthaya, it’s designed with simplicity and comfort in mind. Creamy whites paired with soft greys create a serene atmosphere. From my high-floor room, I had an amazing view of the Ayutthaya plains, which was just the thing I needed to unwind after a long day.
The bathroom followed the same clean, minimalistic design, making everything feel light and fresh.
There’s a minibar with water and basic dining essentials, and you can always order room service if you feel like staying in.
Ayutthaya is famous for its grand temples, ancient Buddha statues, and the majestic ruins of royal palaces. A must-visit spot is Wat Phra Mahathat, where the iconic Buddha head entwined in tree roots serves as a haunting reminder of the blend of history and nature. The historical park is home to many other relics of the past, giving you a glimpse into the city’s glorious days.
As for the hotel’s facilities, they’ve got everything you could want. The gym is well-equipped, and the swimming pool is just what you need for a refreshing dip.
Breakfast at Centara Ayutthaya is served in a laid-back dining area with comfortable seating—just the right way to start your day.
