About Tummour
What is Tummour? The kind of place that comes to mind when you are craving something spicy!
Tummour is a restaurant chain specializing in northeastern Thai (Isan) cuisine, with plenty of branches in major Thai cities and even Malaysia. The name comes from the pounding motion used to make papaya salad, reflecting its freshly pounded, made-to-order dishes.
Plenty of branches, each with its own style

In Bangkok, you can find it at MBK, Gaysorn and Siam Center, among other places, and there are branches in Chiang Mai too. Some put more emphasis on design, such as “De Tummour” at Gaysorn, which blends industrial decor with traditional Thai touches. It is a nice setting for a date, a group meal and a few photos. There are simpler, more casual branches too, so you can choose what suits you.
Tummour Signatures: Spicy, Full of Flavor and Just the Right Portions

Green papaya salad: This is definitely worth trying. Salted egg, rice noodles, peanuts, chilies, fermented fish sauce… the aroma hits as soon as it arrives. If you love spicy food, you will be happy.
Chicken coconut soup: Gentle and smooth, but full of aroma. The coconut milk is not overly rich, keeping the soup light and comforting. The chicken is tender and flavorful, with just the right touch of heat. A bowl makes a lovely balance when you have been eating lots of spicy dishes.

Spicy fried chicken wings: These are wonderful with rice. Crisp and crunchy, they may have you ordering another plate.
Crispy pork with basil: This one is hard to resist. The skin is wonderfully crisp, while the pork belly stays juicy inside. With its fragrant basil, it is the sort of dish that makes it hard to stop eating rice. The heat is medium-high and lively without catching in your throat.

Drinks and Desserts Are Worth a Look Too
With all that spice, something cold is a must. Traditional drinks such as Thai milk tea, pandan juice and roselle tea are all good choices here. For dessert, try coconut ice cream or stewed bananas served with ice. They help cool the heat without being overly sweet.

- The staff are polite and thoughtful. Sometimes they even offer to hold an umbrella or bring you water.
- It works just as well for a quick meal on your own as it does for a gathering with friends or family.
