We were at BITEC that day for an exhibition — mostly just gathering intel — and arrived around 10:30 AM. We walked the entire morning and by the time it was past 1 PM, we had completely skipped lunch. BITEC was packed, so we decided to head over to MEGA BANGNA for something to eat. At least there, we could avoid the crowds.
We didn’t have any particular restaurant in mind. Just wandered around the mall. Passed by places that looked too crowded, too greasy, or just plain boring. Then we came across this one spot that felt… right. The name sounded friendly — FAM TIME Homemade Steak and Fresh Pasta — and the exterior had a warm, cozy vibe. Wood tables, white tile walls — simple but stylish. We were starving, so we didn’t overthink it. Walked straight in.




We ended up ordering three kinds of pasta, one pizza, and a side dish — yeah, we were definitely in “hangry” mode.
First up: Spaghetti with Homemade Sausage & Garlic. The aroma alone was incredible. The handmade sausage was packed with flavor, savory without being too salty. The garlic hit just right, and the olive oil was cooked with real depth — every bite was satisfying.

Then came the Pappardelle with Truffle Cream Sauce. A must for truffle lovers! The wide pasta was clearly handmade — super chewy and fresh. The sauce was creamy and smooth, but not overly rich. Everything was well balanced with layers of flavor.





Midway through the meal, we added a small side dish — Italian-style spinach with bacon. Sounds basic, but it was totally addictive. The bacon was crisp but not greasy, and the spinach was fresh with a hint of garlic. One of those sides you keep reaching for without realizing.


Sometimes, the best meals are the ones you never planned for.
FAM TIME Homemade Steak and Fresh Pasta turned out to be one of those unexpected gems we discovered by pure chance at MEGA BANGNA.
