I have always felt that Bangkok hotels fall into two categories: those that focus on glamour, and those that are simply clean, comfortable, and easy to stay in. Tint of Blue Hotel belongs to the second group. It is the kind of place you quietly add to your personal list after checking out and find yourself wanting to return to next time. Both its design and comfort make it easy to imagine staying here again. It has become one of my favourite choices for a comfortable stay in Bangkok.
The hotel is hidden in a quiet lane in Asok. There are no noisy crowds or tour groups, yet everything you need is just outside—Terminal 21, cafés, massage shops, and late-night food are all within walking distance. The location really is just right:

When I first opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised—not in the dramatic way of a five-star hotel, but more like, “Wow, they offer this much at this price?” The room’s colour palette felt light and airy, and the combination of blue and white created an unexpectedly soothing atmosphere. Together with the natural light coming through the large windows, the room looked more spacious than I had imagined.
The room’s key features are very practical:
The room is actually a little small, but visually it feels very open.
The bed is quite comfortable—not too soft and not too firm.
There is a warm and inviting desk beside the bed.
There are no elaborate decorations, but the room is so clean that it immediately feels comfortable. It has the kind of comfort that makes you return to the room, sit on the bed, and quietly let your mind wander.
The colours and materials used in the bathroom feel very calming.
Outside the bathroom is a small kitchenette.
Tint of Blue Hotel May Not Be Luxurious, but Everything Has a Purpose
Tint of Blue does not follow an extravagant approach. Its facilities are designed around the idea that having just enough is enough:
There is a fitness room, a 24-hour lobby, flexible luggage storage, and even parking—which feels especially generous for the Asok area.
You will not find a luxurious swimming pool or large art installations here, but you may find yourself thinking, “Everything here is simply enough.”
Breakfast Is Simple, Yet Very Satisfying
Perhaps the atmosphere had already influenced my mood, because even though breakfast was simple, it still felt especially comforting.
